CALL TO ORDER

Harry Brooks called the meeting to order at 5:01 p.m.

APPROVAL OF AGENDA

John DeValve made a motion, seconded by Jean LaPorta and unanimously carried to waive the 48-hour notice and approve the agenda as presented and add or remove any items introduced by unanimous vote.

EXECUTIVE SESSION

At 5:01 p.m. Matt Sullivan made a motion to go into executive session for the purpose of discussing collective negotiations pertaining to the Administrators Association pursuant to Article 14 of the Civil Service Law.  This motion was seconded by John DeValve and unanimously carried.

RETURN TO OPEN  SESSION

At 5:53 p.m. John DeValve made a motion to return to open session.  This motion was seconded by Kathryn Zajicek and unanimously carried.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Carmen Caraco made a motion, seconded by Jean Laporta to approve the minutes of the may 31, 2023 Regular Board meeting and the June 14, 2023 Special Board Meeting.  This motion was unanimously carried.

SHARED SERVICES AGREEMENT- CANAJOHARIE

Kathryn Zajicek made a motion, seconded by John DeValve and unanimously carried to authorize the District Superintendent to execute the Shared Services Agreement by and between HFM BOCES and the Canajoharie Central School District for the 2023-2024 school year. (SY 22-23 #196)

OMNI TSACG REINSTATEMENT AGREEMENT

John DeValve made a motion, seconded by Kathryn Zajicek and unanimously carried to approve the Services Agreement Reinstatement by and between HFM BOCES and U.S. OMNI & TSACG effective July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2024.  (SY 22-23 #197)

WORKERS COMPENSATION

Jean LaPorta made a motion to approve HFM BOCES to renew the agreement with Public Employer RENEWAL Risk Management Association, Inc. for Workers’ Compensation coverage for the period of July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2024.   (SY 22-23 #198)

SCHOOL BOCES LEGAL COUNSEL AGREEMENT

Matt Sullivan made a motion to authorize the District Superintendent to execute the School BOCES Legal Counsel Agreement by and between HFM BOCES and Girvin and Ferlazzo, P.C. to provide legal advice and consultation regarding all matters effective July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2024.  This motion was seconded by John DeValve and unanimously carried.  (SY 22-23 #200)

RFB RECOMMENDATIONS

Pursuant to the competitive bidding process, Kathryn Zajicek made a motion, seconded by John DeValve and unanimously carried to accept the RFB recommendation as noted by memorandum from the Purchasing Official in the following areas:

John DeValve made a motion to authorize the District Superintendent to execute the Independent Contractor Services Agreement by and Pfeiffer between HFM BOCES and J’aime Pfeiffer to serve as a School Libraries Mentor Program Consultant effective July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023.  This motion was seconded by Matt Sullivan and unanimously carried.  (SY 22-23 #203)

INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR SERVICES

Matt Sullivan made a motion to authorize the District Superintendent to execute the Independent Contractor Services Agreement by and Williams/Campos between HFM BOCES and Stacy Williams PhD/Rodrigo Campos, PsyD to offer in-person training workshop on Creating affirming space: Implementing Evidence Based Practices via MTSS model effective July 1, 2023 through July 31, 2023.  This motion was seconded by Jean LaPorta and unanimously carried.  (SY 22-23 #204)
