HFM students tour Executive Group

Students enrolled in the HFM Career and Technical Center and the HFM PTECH program recently saw how engineers and tradespeople work together at a growing Amsterdam business.

Students in the Engineering Technology and the Construction Technology programs at the CTC and students in the Advanced Manufacturing pathway at PTECH toured the Executive Group on Monday, April 11.

The Executive Group produces architectural millwork and trim for large commercial construction and renovation projects, such as hotels. It also offers industrial electrical contracting, and warehousing and distribution services for large-scale construction jobs.

Executive Group General Manager Chris Stapleton and Director of Engineering Matt Bush guided students through the company’s production floors discussing the state-of-the art equipment used to produce their specialty products such as cabinets and other casegoods.

Bush said, however, the company’s most valuable resource is its employees. The company has a high demand for tradespeople, engineers, project managers, business development specialists, and more, including entry level positions.
