The Hamilton-Fulton-Montgomery BOCES Board of Education has appointed Molly White as Assistant Principal of the Pathways in Technology Early College High School (PTECH) program.
White has worked as an ELA teacher for 10 years at OESJ and Broadalbin-Perth school districts where she has been committed to creating cohesive systems and strategies to help all students thrive. In her roles, she has participated in curriculum planning, professional development, PBIS initiatives and safety committees.
As an educator who is passionate about curriculum development and using data to lead projects that improve teaching, she loves having the opportunity to impact student learning and success.
“Watching students grow and make valuable connections with teachers and mentors makes every day rewarding,” said White.
In her position as Assistant Principal, she will assist with the day-to-day operations of HFM PTECH while working closely with college liaisons at both SUNY FMCC and SUNY Cobleskill to help students navigate the complexity of high school while taking college courses.
White holds a School Building Leader Certificate from SUNY Plattsburgh, a master’s degree in secondary education with an English concentration from the College of St. Rose, and a bachelor’s degree in English and US history from the University at Albany. Prior to teaching she obtained a certificate in broadcast journalism from New England Cable News in Boston.
She is excited to work with a program that mirrors her passion for helping students become college and career ready while contributing to their community. She believes that helping the next generation achieve success is one of the most impactful ways to give back.
“As someone who grew up in the area, I am so excited to be serving the communities that raised me and to foster connections with local businesses,” said White. “Building relationships and helping students reach their highest potential was important to me as a teacher, and I am eager to carry that with me into leadership.”
White lives with her husband, three young daughters, and their dog named Beasley. She enjoys spending time with family, exercising, traveling and being outdoors.
