Two HFM BOCES programs were recently recognized through Stewart’s Shops’ 2025–26 Holiday Match program, each receiving a $500 donation.
Both Adirondack Academy and HFM Career and Technical Education (CTE) were among more than 1,800 organizations selected across upstate New York, Vermont, and western New Hampshire to benefit from the annual initiative.
From Thanksgiving Day through Christmas Day, Stewart’s customers donated more than $900,000 to the Holiday Match program. Stewart’s Shops then matched every contribution dollar for dollar, bringing the total distribution to more than $1.8 million for nonprofit children’s organizations in the communities the company serves.
Adirondack Academy plans to use its donation to support ongoing needs related to student behavior supports and academic achievement.
“We’re very thankful to be included once again,” said school social worker Allison Csernai. “Support like this gives us meaningful opportunities to recognize students for their effort, growth, and success.”
Adirondack Academy serves students who face challenges in traditional school environments by offering small class sizes and fostering a close-knit community. The alternative education program emphasizes personalized attention and strong relationships with staff to encourage student growth and success.
HFM Career and Technical Education will direct its $500 donation toward student scholarships, recognizing individuals who demonstrate perseverance, a strong work ethic, and a positive attitude.
Administrative Coordinator Michael Ott also expressed appreciation for Stewart’s continued commitment to local education.
“Stewart’s Shops has been a consistent and generous supporter of our students,” Ott said. “Their involvement, whether through Holiday Match or other initiatives like attendance incentives, truly makes a difference.”
Now marking its 40th year, the Stewart’s Holiday Match program has contributed more than $41 million to organizations dedicated to enriching the lives of children and strengthening communities throughout the region.
