HFM PTECH senior Nicky Kulewicz is taking her passion for healthcare to the next level through an internship at St. Mary’s Healthcare. Enrolled in the Health Studies pathway, Nicky recently spent time on the maternity floor and in an OBGYN office, where she learned firsthand what it takes to work in a hospital setting. It’s experiences like these that have inspired her to pursue a Registered Nursing degree at SUNY Fulton-Montgomery with a focus on maternity care.

St. Mary’s staff have also valued the partnership with HFM PTECH. “Hosting student interns in the clinical setting has been an incredibly rewarding experience for our team. Having students in the maternity unit allows us to provide real-life exposure to the fast-paced and collaborative nature of healthcare while fostering their interest in specialties like obstetrics,” said Macey Rorick, Director of Women and Family Services at St. Mary’s Healthcare.
Nicky is dedicated to her studies and we’re excited to see her continue her journey through St. Mary’s ‘Work and Learn’ program as she works toward a future in healthcare.
