Video: What sets Adirondack Academy apart from traditional schools?

June 27, 2019 | Filed in Archive

Adirondack Academy is specifically designed to help students who have encountered obstacles in the regular school setting. ADK’s alternative education emphasizes small class sizes and close relationships with teachers, staff and administrators in order to help students graduate high school.

In spring 2019, Julian Martes, then a Johnstown senior enrolled in the Digital Multimedia and Communications program at the HFM Career and Technical Center, worked with the HFM Communications Department to produce a video explaining more about what makes Adirondack Academy special for many local students. Martes completed the project during a two-week professional internship that CTE students pursue their senior year.
