Parents should make sure the school has good contact information (email, home and mobile phone numbers) to ensure they receive timely and pertinent school information. This includes information about school closures and delays.

Parents and students must contact the main office of their home school district if they wish to receive timely information from that district. Parents and students should also maintain communication with their home schools by regularly checking the school’s webpage or by following Facebook pages of important groups they want to be connected to.
SchoolTool Parent Portal is available to parents and students to access attendance records, progress reports and report cards. Parents are linked to SchoolTool each year by Jennifer Sponnoble, the school counselor, via a working parent email. Parents receive a password to access the parent portal in their email.

PTECH teachers use Schoology, an online learning management system, to communicate between teacher and student, teacher and parent, and teacher to teacher. Schoology will also be used to help manage projects and digital resources.
Schoology allows you to:
- Access all courses
- View assignments
- Check missing or overdue assignments
- See grades
Parent accounts are established each year and are connected to their student.
To access your parent account:
- Go to www.schoology.com
- Click Sign Up at the top of the page and choose Parent.
- Enter your Parent Access Code. This is a 12-digit code in xxxx-xxxx-xxxx format that you receive from the school
- Fill out the form with your information.
- Click Register to complete.
