School Counselor

Education: Master of Science in Professional School Counseling, The Sage Colleges, Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, SUNY Potsdam

About me: I am a lifelong resident of Montgomery County. I graduated from Fonda Fultonville High School in 2011 and moved to Potsdam to attend college. I lived there for four years and graduated from SUNY Potsdam with my bachelor’s degree in psychology. After graduation, I returned to Fonda and began my master’s program at The Sage Colleges.

While going to school, I worked for Mental Health Association in Fulton and Montgomery counties. I began there as a residential counselor and worked my way up to case coordinator. After finishing my master’s program, I graduated with my master’s degree in professional school counseling. During this time, I changed career fields and began working for Northern Rivers as the clinician for the Intensive Aftercare Prevention Program. I spent a year and a half there helping families stay out of the foster care and DSS systems.

I am now happy to be the school counselor for HFM PTECH and look forward to what our years ahead will bring! I currently live in Fort Johnson with my husband, Josh, and our two fur babies, Koda and Harley. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my family, cook, read books and binge-watch Netflix.
