CALL TO ORDER
Vice President LaPorta called the meeting to order at 5:38 p.m., followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.
EXECUTIVE SESSION
At 5:39 p.m. the Board entered executive session for the purpose of discussing matters that may lead to the appointment, employment, promotion, demotion, discipline, suspension, dismissal or removal of particular persons (or alternatively. A particular corporation) upon a motion made by Allan Turnbull, seconded by James Beirlein and unanimously carried.
RETURN TO OPEN SESSION
At 5:52 p.m. James Beirlein made a motion to return to open session. This motion was seconded by John DeValve and unanimously carried.
PERSONNEL ITEMS
Upon the District Superintendent’s recommendation, the following personnel items were presented to the Board for acceptance or approval. All new appointments are contingent upon receipt of Employment Eligibility Verification forms.
APPOINTMENT
James Beirlein made a motion, seconded by John DeValve and unanimously carried to approve the following resolution to appoint a Civil Service Law Section 75 Hearing Officer:
WHEREAS, the District Superintendent is preferring disciplinary charges pursuant to Civil Service Law Section 75 against a particular bus driver, an employee of the HFM BOCES; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Education of the HFM BOCES desires to exercise its authority to appoint a hearing officer to hear this matter and return a report and recommendation to it concerning the proceeding.
IT IS THEREFORE RESOLVED that Brian Devane, Esq. is appointed as Hearing Officer in a certain matter involving disciplinary charges involving the particular HFM BOCES employee. Hearing Officer Devane is directed to conduct the hearing and return his report and recommendations in accordance with Civil Service Law Section 75.
Resignations
John DeValve made a motion, seconded by Allan Turnbull and unanimously carried to accept the following resignations:
Dennis LaFountain, Bus Driver, Regional Transportation (10/01/2015), Effective Date: 11/01/2019
Linda Morrison, Teacher Aide, Special Ed (09/01/2014), Effective Date: 11/13/2019

ADJOURNMENT:
With no further business to come before the Board, Allan Turnbull made a motion at 5:53 p.m. to adjourn the meeting. This motion was seconded by James Beirlein and unanimously carried.
