Advocacy – Can refer to Research Institute for Public Libraries and Public Library Association for combined data and story pieces. You have to determine how the hero overcame the challenge and then attach the specifics that are available at your site.

This year’s enacted budget contains the first system aid increase since 2016. Governor Cuomo proposed a $4M cut in Library Aid in this year’s Executive Budget. The FY2018-19 enacted budget reversed this proposed cut, and allocated an additional $1M.
Members wrote thank you notes to Governor Cuomo for passing this aid in the budget.
Thank you notes were also written to the legislators for fighting on behalf of the library community.
