A fundraiser for staff and students to benefit Wounded Warrior Project
OCT 16, 2015 – Thursday, Nov. 12, is a day for HFM staff and students to don their denim to support a worthy cause – the Wounded Warrior Project.
Your denim jeans, shirts and jackets, along with a small donation to WWP will make the day at HFM BOCES fun while helping others.
WWP was founded in 2003 by a group of veterans and their friends in Roanoke VA. Its mission:
- To raise awareness and enlist the public’s aid for the needs of injured service members.
- To help injured service members aid and assist each other.
- To provide unique, direct programs and services to meet the needs of injured service members.
To participate, download the flier with donation form and turn in your donation to the superintendent’s office by Nov. 12. Staff member suggested donation is $5. Students are encouraged to participate with a suggested donation of $1. Thank you in advance for your enthusiastic participation.
WWP is a national organization with offices in 12 major cities across the country that seeks to honor and empower Wounded Warriors who incurred a physical or mental injury, illnesses, or wound, co-incident to your military service on or after September 11, 2001. Family members or caregivers of a Wounded Warrior may also be eligible for the program.
