The HFM BOCES Regional Transportation Service is seeking applicants for the position of transportation coordinator.
This is a supervisory position involving responsibility for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of the transportation system of school districts.
Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from high school, possession of a high school equivalency diploma, or a high school individual education plan diploma and either:
- Three years of experience involving the planning, routing, scheduling or
office management of a transportation department other business involving
a mode of transportation; or
- Three years of experience in the repair and maintenance of automotive
equipment one year of which shall have involved the repair and
maintenance of school buses; or
- An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the
limits of (A) and (B) above.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENT: Eligibility for the appropriate level New York State Driver’s License at time of application (possession of license at time of appointment). Candidates must be eligible in accordance with Civil Service Law; appointment to be made from established Civil Service eligibility list.
