MAY 25, 2016 – More than 30 HFM BOCES employees and friends came together Thursday, May 19, to participate in the CDPHP Workforce Team Challenge, a 3.5-mile road race to promote health and fitness in the workplace.

HFM team members joined nearly 10,000 people in Albany in the goodwill event designed for businesses, institutions, corporations and agencies.

HFM BOCES’ team, captained by Special Education teacher Nancy Turnbull and outfitted in a t-shirt designed by Digital Multimedia student Austin Algerio (junior, OESJ), traveled to the race location at the Empire State Plaza in the Special Ed bus driven by Martin Luey.

Race proceeds benefit the not-for-profit Hudson Mohawk Road Runners Club, as well as CDPHP’s Charities of Choice. This year, Girls on the Run® Capital Region and Schenectady ARC are the two charities designated to receive a portion of the race proceeds.
