HFM student wins first prize at science fair

student at science fairHFM student Christopher Rumrill, a fourth grader from Northville, won first place for an individual project at the Boulevard Elementary School Science Fair in Gloversville on Wednesday March 8. His project on AM Radio explained about frequencies, transmitting signals and electrical energy. He described what a radio is and how its parts – the antenna, capacitors, dial and speakers work together, and what solder is and how it is used in electronics. He was awarded a certificate and medal for his achievement.
