HFM BOCES staff gather in support of the Wounded Warrior Project on Nov. 12.

NOV 16, 2015 – HFM BOCES’ Wear Jeans Day on Nov. 12 raised $1,114 to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project. The event, planned to follow Veterans Day, asked staff and students to donate $5 or $1 for the privilege of wearing jeans to school.

The Wounded Warrior Project is a national organization that raises awareness and enlists the public’s aid for the needs of injured service members, helps injured service members aid and assist each other, and provides unique, direct programs and services to meet the needs of injured service members and their families.

WWP was founded in 2003 by a group of veterans and their friends in Roanoke VA to honor and empower Wounded Warriors who incurred a physical or mental injury, illnesses, or wound, co-incident to your military service on or after September 11, 2001.
