HFM BOCES has hired Paul Cardettino as its new administrative coordinator of instructional services. Mr. Cardettino replaces Nicole Panton, who left BOCES in August to take the position of director of curriculum and professional development in the Greater Johnstown School District.
Mr. Cardettino comes to BOCES after serving two years as the assistant elementary school principal in the Cairo-Durham Central School District. Before entering school administration, he was a social studies teacher at Cairo-Durham and at Fort Plain High School.
As the administrative coordinator of instructional services, he will be responsible for data analysis, curriculum and professional development programs, as well as the site coordinator for regional scoring of NYS assessments, among other duties. Mr. Cardettino will also serve as the regional certification officer for teachers and other school professionals.
Mr. Cardettino earned a bachelor’s degree in history and political science from the University at Buffalo. He earned his master’s degree from the University at Albany and his school administration credentials at Canisius College.
“We are looking forward to Paul joining the HFM BOCES team,” said HFM BOCES Deputy Superintendent Dr. Lorraine Hohenforst.
Mr. Cardettino’s first day at BOCES is Monday, Oct. 2.
Mr. Cardettino lives in Delmar with his wife and 8-month old daughter.
