Hamilton-Fulton-Montgomery BOCES this year celebrated the 50th anniversary of its founding. To mark the occasion, staff gathered for a photo outside on the main campus during the 2016-17 Closing Day activities.
HFM Career and Technical Center Digital Multimedia and Communications Instructor Phil Schuyler took the photo using a drone. HFM Groundskeeper John Walrath laid out the markings prior to the shoot.
During the Closing Day activities, HFM BOCES District Superintendent Dr. Patrick Michel remarked 50 years of operation says a lot about an organization.
“There are a lot of Fortune 500 companies that never survive 50 years. We’ve been able to grow and adapt as the years went by, and it is our sense of innovation, and our devotion to education that’s made us survive as long as we have,” Dr. Michel said.
Opening Day for staff for the 2017-18 school year is set for Sept. 5. Students will return to classes on Sept. 6.
