Administrative Coordinator of Instructional Services
This is a 12-month, full-time, tenure-track, administrative position available September 1, 2017. NYS certification is required: School District Leader (SDL) or School District Administrator (SDA). Terms and conditions of employment are as per the negotiated agreement with the HFM BOCES Administrators’ Association/SAANYS. This position is of comprehensive administrative scope pertaining to instructional improvement strategies, data analysis, and the provision of curriculum and professional development programs as required by the HFM BOCES and the 15 component districts within the HFM BOCES region, regional scoring and serving as the Regional Certification Officer, among other duties. The Coordinator will be directly responsible to the Deputy Superintendent for fulfillment of all duties. The Coordinator participates as a member of the HFM BOCES Supervisory Team.
The ideal candidate for this position has a progressive vision for advancing teacher and administrator growth at HFM BOCES and the 15 component districts within the HFM BOCES region. This position is best suited for an enthusiastic learner who remains current in best practice. The ability to collaborate and create positive working relationships with multiple stakeholders within the BOCES and the component districts is essential. The successful candidate will be competent in establishing workflows, setting goals and monitoring progress; strong communication and organization skills are critical. Initiative and persistence are key requirements for this position. The candidate must be a proficient user of the Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) as well as Google Apps for Education.
This position will assume additional duties as needed.
