Letter to HFM
BOCES faculty and staff, component school
superintendents, component board presidents, and
business and community interview committee members
Monday, Dec.
6, 2010
It is my
pleasure to announce the anticipated appointment of Dr.
Patrick Michel as District Superintendent of the HFM
BOCES. As you know, Dr. Michel is currently the
superintendent of the Monticello Central School District
in Sullivan County. The Board will vote on the
appointment at a special meeting to be held on Thursday,
December 16th and Dr. Michel would begin his duties on
February 7, 2011.
On behalf of
the Board, I would like to thank all of those who
participated in the search process. Your time and
efforts are much appreciated.
The last eight
months have been painful to us personally and
challenging to our organization. We will continue to
struggle with the loss we have all shared together. Our
work is too important, and the current environment too
demanding, to allow ourselves not to move aggressively
forward. The conclusion of the district superintendent
search process is an important step in that movement.
After the
holidays we will have more information about Dr.
Michels introduction to our BOCES. I know that everyone
will extend him a warm HFM welcome.

Townsend
