English as a
Second Language (ESL) classes offered in October
Improved language skills help communication at college and
on the job

The HFM BOCES Office of Adult Literacy & Corrections Education
will provide an orientation for adults who want to improve their
English language skills from 9 a.m. - noon on Wednesday,
October 17, 2012. An evening session will be offered from 6-9
p.m. on the same day.
The English as a Second Language (ESL) program provides
instruction in reading, writing, listening and speaking.
Orientation is conducted in the Annex Building at Centro Civico,
143 East Main Street, Amsterdam. You must arrive on time and be
prepared to stay for the entire session.
Three levels of instruction –
beginner, intermediate & advanced –
are available.
