English as a
second language class scheduled
Morning and evening sessions set for Monday, Feb. 6
JAN. 20, 2012 - HFM BOCES Adult Literacy
program will host
orientation and screening sessions for adults, age 21 and older,
who want to speak, understand, read and write English better on
Monday, Feb. 6, 2012 at Centro Civico, 143-145 East Main Street,
Amsterdam.
A morning session will be held from 9 a.m. - noon and an
evening session will run from 6 - 9 p.m. Students must arrive on
time and be prepared to stay for the full three-hour session.
During orientation, students will learn about the program,
register for class and participate in assessment. Students must
bring a pen and pencil and a photocopy of a photo ID with birth
date.
Learners age 18-20 will be admitted based on an interview with
the teacher and as space and funding is available.

264, or 736-4340 to reserve a seat. Voice mail is available 24
hours a day. Callers should leave their name, phone number and
specify morning or evening orientation.
