Online resource helps merge teaching with technology
'Digital Learning at HFM BOCES' equips teachers with
digital-age skills and tools
HFM BOCES Digital Learning Specialist Rachel (Gregg) Heroth has
created a useful online resource for special education teachers
who want to make efficient use of technology in their classroom
management and teaching.
The Google site,
Digital Learning at HFM BOCES, includes tutorials and
tips on how to master technology for things as basic as
navigating Webmail to creating graphs in Excel, or more complex
instruction on how to fully utilize the capabilities of
classroom Promethean Boards.
The online resource provide opportunities for area teachers to
share and benefit from Common Core resources being posted by
teachers from around the country.
The site, created in Google, enables enhanced interaction
between Mrs. Heroth and teachers in the field. It features a
growing blog about effectively using technology in the
classroom, as well as downloadable templates for teachers, a
calendar of training opportunities, and links to additional free web
resources.
