Culinary Arts students ready for performance testing
Students in the HFM BOCES Culinary Arts
program will take the New York State Restaurant Association
Performance Assessment on Monday and Tuesday, May 9-10
The two-day test measures students' ability
in 10 performance tasks. An outside examiner with industry
experience and certification through New York State Restaurant
Education Foundation will evaluate their performance. The test
meets the technical assessment component required for New York
State Career and Technical Education Culinary Arts programs.
The kitchen and service area will close at
noon daily during the test period. The dining area will remain
open on both days. “Grab and go” bag lunches will be available
before noon for students and staff.
The student bag lunch options are ham & cheese or turkey
sandwiches accompanied by a peach, cookie, tossed salad and
milk. The $3.00 adult lunch includes the option of milk, coffee
or bottled water.
Any questions may be directed to the HFM
BOCES Career and Technical Center.
