HFM
BOCES Board of Education launches search for new district
superintendent
New leader likely to be chosen by Dec. 1 and take office
in February
The Hamilton-Fulton-Montgomery BOCES Board of Education has
officially launched a search for a new district superintendent
to head up HFM.
The deadline to apply is Sept. 15.
The chosen candidate will serve in a dual capacity: as regional
representative to the state Commissioner of Education and as
Chief Executive Officer of the Hamilton-Fulton-Montgomery Board
of Cooperative Educational Services.
HFM BOCES has been led by Interim District Superintendent Mark
Vivacqua since early April, following the death of former
District Superintendent Geoffrey H. Davis on April 1. Mr.
Vivacqua serves as district superintendent of the neighboring
Herkimer-Fulton-Hamilton-Otsego BOCES and is temporarily heading
up HFM BOCES until a new district superintendent is selected. He
will be leading the search process for a new district
superintendent, as well.
