in Relay for Life donations
Total event donations top $135,000, and counting
Eight teams composed of HFM BOCES staff members and
their friends raised more than $20,700 for the American
Cancer Society by their participation in the 13th Annual
Relay for Life event on June 4-5.
The 2010 Fulton and Montgomery County event has raised
$135,000 so far with donations still being counted,
$35,000 more than the established goal.
More than 1100 participants walked in the event held at
Park Terrace School in Gloversville.
The American Cancer Society Relay for Life is a
life-changing event that gives communities everywhere a
chance to celebrate the lives of people who have battled
cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against
the disease. In addition, Relay for Life helps raise
much-needed funds and awareness to help the American
Cancer Society save lives from cancer and create more
birthdays.
