Morning classes offered for English as a Second Language

HFM joins new partnership to offer this program

English as a Second Language classes will be offered mornings in Amsterdam, from March 3-April 11. A second session will run April 21-May 30.

The classes are geared for adults age 21 and older who need to improve their abilities to speak English or who wish to improve their communication skills for work or college.

Classes will focus on listening, speaking, reading and writing skills, with the goal to improve vocabulary, pronunciation and vocabulary.

HFM BOCES and Fulton-Montgomery Community College have developed a partnership, with the assistance of Centro Civico and Montgomery County Department of Social Services, to provide this new ESL class that will be offered from 9 a.m.-noon Monday through Thursday at Centro Civico, 143-145 East Main Street, Amsterdam.
