Classes forming for students interested in computer technical training

Adults who are interested in a career in computers take note: The HFM BOCES Adult Services division is now accepting students for the Computer Technical Support A+ Certification program.

Students are taught to assemble, install, configure, upgrade, troubleshoot, perform preventative maintenance and repair personal computer hardware and PC operating systems. A+ is an international certification that is recognized as the gold standard for the IT industry. Students who earn this credential are more likely to attain a job because their knowledge has been formally tested by the Computing Technology Industry Association (COMPTIA).

The fee for the 200-hour course is $3,720 which includes books and test vouchers. Career Training loans are available.

For more information about the program, please call (518) 762-4633, ext. 164 or 168. Click here for more information about out Adult Services programs.
