Georgi Calafrencesco retires after 20 years
Colleagues, friends and family join together
to wish her well
Georgi Calafrencesco was soft spoken, but her gentle tones
belied the depths of her emotions.
"I love you all," she told about 90 colleagues, friends and
family during her retirement party on Sept 8.
It was hard for her to say goodbye after spending the last 20
years as a senior typist for the HFM BOCES Special Education
division. In that time, Georgi said, her co-workers became
family as she and they shared their stories -- both work and
personal -- in the day-to-day routine of work.
Her co-workers praised Georgi for her conscientious attention to
detail, her commitment to students and staff, and her unflagging
devotion to her work.
Following her retirement, Georgi plans to move to Arizona with
her husband, Cal.
