Students
dedicate 2006-07 yearbook to Dr. Davis
HFM BOCES Superintendent Dr. Geoffrey H. Davis was puzzled when
he was summoned on June 10 to meet with a group of students who
had assembled in the HFM Business Office.
He was equally surprised to find they had dedicated their senior
yearbook to him, in recognition of his untiring commitment to
make the new HFM BOCES campus a reality.
Produced
by 12 students in both the junior and senior Business Computer
Appliciations classes and Graphic Communications classes, the
yearbook includes this dedication:
“The 2006-07 Career and Technical Center Yearbook is dedicated
to Dr. Geoffrey H. Davis, HFM BOCES District Superintendent.
Through the untiring efforts of Dr. Davis, our school is now
located in a new state-of-the-art building which houses all
divisions of the BOCES operation. During a 10-year period, Dr.
Davis worked with component school districts, the New York State
Education Department, Fulton-Montgomery Community College,
governmental planning boards, and other organizations to assure
that the Hamilton-Fulton-Montgomery BOCES would continue to
exist and would be housed in a new facility. Dr. Davis is a
caring leader, always seeking ways to improve education, and
striving to provide the best for both students and staff. It is
with a great deal of pride that we recognize him for the work he
has done, and we wish him continued success as he leads us in
the future.”
The yearbook, which was designed and printed in-house by
students, includes class pictures of juniors in every Career &
Technical program, as well as individual photos of each senior.
There are also collage pages with photos of students in various
class settings, working and just being students.
Yearbooks will be available at the Recognition Ceremony which
will be held Tuesday evening, June 19, at the F-MCC gymnasium,
and are also available from the Business Computer Applications
class, Room B-212. The price is $8. |
