The 2007 LOTE conference to be held at Mayfield High School will
focus around topics gathered and prioritized by the conference
committee. Teachers attending the conference will meet the new
State Education Department Representative, Mary Holmes, and have
an opportunity to hear about new statewide initiatives in
foreign language. Al Martino will share his wealth of knowledge
on the topics of classroom speaking and reading strategies.
During lunch, staff will peruse vendor displays and watch a
dessert demonstration by local CIA chef, Megan Henke. Finally,
the afternoon will end with a short NYSAFLT presentation and a
session from Las Mariposas, a Spanish school in Ballston Spa.
