Teachers and school leaders are meeting
challenges and navigating waters of change today that will
affect education for years to come. Race to the Top reforms
intend to improve teaching; to reinvigorate learning; and
revitalize every classroom for every student.
The HFM BOCES Network Team works with our
component school districts to implement Common Core Learning
Standards that will improve academic achievement for our
students at every grade level and help them graduate from
high school ready to take on college or find a place in the
workforce. In addition, the Network Team
helps school districts build a data-driven culture where
information becomes knowledge – a precise and straightforward
way to gauge student performance throughout the year.
Finally, nothing is more important to student success than the
effectiveness of teachers and principals. The Network Team helps
implement a revamped evaluation and professional development
program for teachers and principals, ensuring that every student
has excellent educators in the classroom, supported by excellent
