Students across New York to take standardized tests

Under new state regulations, students in grades 3-8 are required to take a variety of state tests to measure how well they are meeting the state's learning standards. Some of these tests are new this year; others have been administered over the past several years.

HFM  BOCES Instructional Services can offer training for area educators who want to be trained to score the new assessments.

Regional scoring scheduled for all state exams

Regional scoring of state assessments provides opportunities for teachers from various districts to discuss student work and determine appropriate scores for that work. This dialogue leads to a better understanding of the scoring rubrics and improves each teacher's ability to score fairly and accurately. Click here for regional scoring dates.
