GRASP is a home-study GED preparation program for adults who
cannot attend our regular classes because of work schedules,
family responsibilities, transportation problems or other
difficulties. You must be 21 or older, no exceptions.
Assessment is done to identify student needs, and individualized
lessons are designed.
On a regular two-week schedule, our experienced GED teacher will
prepare an individualized study packet for each learner.
Learners will pick up these packets at a designated pick-up
location. Assignments cover the five areas that are on the GED
exam. Study packets are returned to the designated location when
finished and a new packet is picked up at that location. In most
cases, your packet pick-up and drop-off point will be a library
or school near your home or place of work.
In addition to the Complete GED book,
instruction materials may consist of printed materials,
television programs broadcast on PBS and web based materials.
The use of a VCR and access to the Internet are beneficial to
students in this program.
