complex environment involving home, school and the community
that can affect his/her ability to learn. Social Work
Services are designed to assist both children and their families
in working through problems that may be making school adjustment
difficult for the child. Areas of consultation include:
improving communication and interaction between the student,
family and school personnel; helping the child develop a more
positive self-concept; improving the child's relationships with
others; designing behavior programs in consultation with the
classroom teacher; and individual and group counseling.
