This program is designed for students who are classified autistic or diagnosed with other pervasive developmental disorders.

The occupational therapist, physical therapist and speech language pathologist work closely with the classroom teacher to provide a highly structured and fully integrated educational program. Classroom team training consists of up-to-date behavioral management and specialized educational techniques.

The classroom is academically oriented, with specific daily routines that remain consistent. Instructional programs are planned to meet the students' individual needs and are aligned with the New York State Learning Standards. Classroom activities are structured similarly to those of a typical elementary school class. However, special emphasis is placed on social and interpersonal skills, behavior management, communication, language and motor-skill development.
