Substitute Handbook
Thank you for being an integral part of the
educational team of our component school districts. It
is important for you to know the policies and procedures
that govern our schools, as well as be equipped with the
tools to become an asset to the district we support.
This handbook seeks to provide that information.
The Substitute Handbook includes general information about working as a sub, as
well as tips and strategies on classroom management and
discipline that will help you be more effective. As
always, experience is the best teacher, but we hope the
handbook provides helpful assistance.
Specific district policies and procedures will be
provided to you when you report to a particular district
for work. Please take time to familiarize yourself with
the expectations and routines of the school in which you
are working.
