College in the High School

 
 

HFM BOCES has partnered with Fulton Montgomery Community College to offer courses for college credit at a reduced tuition rate. College in the High School offers students credit transferable to most New York State Colleges and Universities at approximately 1/3 the tuition rate.

College in the High School program benefits:

  Earn college credits while still in high school

  Experience the challenge of college level courses

  Enhance college applications by showing you can do college work

  Reduced tuition cost

  Accumulate college credits, which has many benefits including reducing your future college course load or making time for double major, extra courses, or study abroad.

  Access to FMCC library and online databases

Eligibility Requirements

Student must be a high school junior or senior recommended by a teacher or guidance counselor. Students should only sign up for college credit if there is a reasonable expectation of success in the college level course. College enrollment, grades and credits are permanently recorded on an FMCC transcript. All College in the High School courses are subject to the same standards and policies as any other FMCC course.
