Things to consider when asking for information

Everybody has a question they want to ask. Who? What? When? Where? Why? We try to provide as much information as possible on this Web site to keep everyone informed about what's happening at HFM BOCES. But it's those behind-the-scenes type questions that people really want answers to. This is your place to ask.

Why are we doing this? First, it gives us a chance to share more information about HFM BOCES and the people that work here in a more informal way. Second, it gives us a fair chance to "set the record straight" before rumors and gossip on a subject can gain a foothold. And third, it sets the stage for more and better communication among the community of HFM BOCES employees.

Keep in mind that this is a work in progress. We will adjust the guidelines as we go to provide the best avenue for sharing information.

Questions of general interest will be posted to the Bits & Pieces page. We reserve the right to select questions that best represent common concerns and interests. That sounds sort of boring doesn't it? All questions posted to the Web site will be posted anonymously, so within the bounds of appropriate good taste and privacy, let's hear what you really want to know.

We will make an effort to answer all questions. In some cases it may take extra time to get complete answers to certain questions. You want the whole story don't you?

For individual or private concerns, you should contact your supervisor. If you ask us, we'll point you in the right direction, but won't answer a private concern in a public forum.

Please submit your comments and/or questions in the white text box. Include your email address in order to receive a personal reply. In every case, your privacy is respected.

Questions are e-mailed to the district's public information office, then forwarded to the appropriate person.
